The Chamber of Commerce Merit Award Program
The Salisbury Area Chamber of Commerce offers the Potential for Success Award, in the amount of $500, to one graduating senior from each of the four public high schools in Wicomico County. Selection is based on the following criteria:

Good Citizenship

Demonstrated initiative

Potential for success in further education or the world of work

Good attendance and punctuality

Honesty

Strong spirit of cooperation with fellow students and school faculty

Making the most of education opportunities
The applicant's financial need will also be taken into consideration, and applicants who have participated in the Mentoring Project are encouraged to apply. In addition, applicants may be required to be interviewed by the Salisbury Area Chamber of Commerce Workforce Development Committee.
