Agri-Business Committee
- Meets the third Tuesday of each month at 7:30 a.m.
- Investigates problem areas and opportunities for area farmers.
- Establishes regular contact with agricultural-oriented organizations.
- Develops programs which will be of mutual
interest
to the agricultural community. - Promotes understanding of the impact of agriculture, forestry and supporting industries on the the Eastern Shore economy
Beautification Committee
- Meets the first Thursday of each month at noon.
- Establishes goals and implements programs designed to enhance the physical beauty of our community.
Business Affairs Committee
- Meets the third Wednesday of each month at 8 a.m.
- Develops programs of special interest to the business community.
- Concentrates on improving the business climate within our area.
- Advocates for business community on key issues.
- Sponsors five professional development groups to help career areas and industries.
Community Affairs Committee
- Meets the first Wednesday of each month at noon.
- Organizes the Business After Hours program, the Chamber's monthly socializing and networking meeting.
- Keeps abreast of issues and areas of concern in the community.
- Lends support to activities and events associated with tourism and deemed beneficial to our community.
Environmental Affairs Committee
- Meets the first Thursday of each month at 8:30 a.m. at the Chamber
Created Environmental Affairs Committee Awards to create a dialogue that will both encourage and recognize efforts of the Chamber members who integrate good business with environmental improvement.
Local Legislative Committee
- Meets the second Thursday of each month at 7:30 a.m.
- Members attend regular meetings of the City and County Councils.
- Maintains a continuing overview of all city and county activities.
- Invites various department heads to explain their duties and functions.
Membership Committee
- Meets the second Wednesday of each month at 8 a.m.
- Recruits members, develops retention programs and incentives.
- Schedules new member orientation programs.
Salisbury Festival Committee
- Meets between November and May with the frequency of meetings increasing during the months of March and April.
- Coordinates, plans and implements festival events.
- The festival is held the first full weekend of May.
- The Salisbury Festival is the largest festival in Wicomico County and draws over 25,000 people for three days of activities. It is planned by the Chamber with assistance from Comcast Cablevision of Delmarva (the corporate sponsor) and many of our member companies and supporting community groups.

National Legislative Committee
- An "e-committee" which meets via e-mail as
national legislative issues warrant. - Focuses attention on state and national legislation affecting our area
- Recommends policy positions to the Board.
- Conveys Chamber positions to our elected officials and to the Maryland and U. S. Chamber of Commerce.
State Legislative Committee
- Focuses on proposed State legislation and
regulation
affecting our region - Recommends policy positions for the Board of Directors
- Conveys Chamber positions to our elected representatives
- Coordinates positions with supporting organizations
Public Relations and Marketing Committee
- Meets at the Chamber of
Commerce on the fourth
Thursday for lunch at noon - Provides an opportunity for
professionals in these fields
to share experience. - Members receive educational programs and work on projects.
- Members also assist local non-profits with marketing and public relations issues.
Workforce Development Committee

Committee)

- Meets the third Monday of each month at noon
- Sponsors the ACES Program, the Student Honor Card, and the Outstanding Teachers Award.
- Presents an annual Chamber Merit Award in each of the high schools.
- Assists educational institutions in the county.
